Key Features
Hoji Lock Walk Mode: A single rear lever separates the cuff and shell for touring, unlocking 60° of resistance-free cuff rotation, then re-engages the same cable system to pretension the boot back into a locked, 11°-forward-lean ski mode. No re-buckling required at the transition, which matters when you're losing daylight on a long tour.
Flex Tongue: Redesigned to provide a more progressive and precise feel when skiing, the new Flex Tongue is even better on the ascent, lowering resistance and aiding a natural walking feel.
Ratcheted Instep Buckle: Allows the heel to be held firmly for maximum reactivity and energy transfer, while being easily adjusted (with gloves on!) to increase comfort on the climb.
Grilamid Construction: Shell, cuff, and spoiler are all Grilamid (with fibrous glass inserts) rather than traditional polyurethane (PU), which is how the boot holds a stiff flex at such light weight. Grilamid also handles cold better than PU — it won't stiffen up the way a resort boot does at -20°C on a Rockies approach.
Roomy 103.5mm Last: Wide enough that most higher-volume feet won't need custom punchwork out of the box, which is a real advantage for anyone spending 6+ hours a day in the boot on tour.
