Skadi The Goat Glove
About This Product
Why you'll love the Skadi The Goat Glove from Ski West
-
Warmth Under Compression
Don't lose heat when you grip a ski pole or carry your board from the parking lot. Gloves get squished throughout the day which causes heat loss in typical loft insulated gloves, not for Skadi though.
Breathable
We've taken measures to ensure this glove is breathable, as breathable as any leather mitt can be. Don't sweat it! Even if your hands get wet the insulating value is retained.
Thin & Light
The memory foam aerogel will mold to your hand over time becoming incredibly thin while keeping your hands as warm as ever.
Powered by SolarCore - NASA-inspired Insulation TechnologyOriginally used by NASA to insulate the Space Shuttles & Mars Rovers, aerogel is a highly effective insulator with the lowest thermal conductivity of any solid.
Benefits
- Strong, durable, and flexible
- Aerogel composite - 275% more effective than traditional insulation
- Thin, compression-resistant, and lightweight
Glove & Mitt Care
Every pair of Skadi mitts and gloves comes pre-treated with NikWax Waterproofing Wax for Leather. When your gloves become noticeably less waterproof and dirty over time, use the included packet of NikWax Waterproofing Wax to extend their performance life.
-
Remove surface dirt with a rag, using lukewarm water if needed.
-
For extremely soiled gloves, use Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel to scrub away dirt and other residues.
-
To restore water resistance, use Nikwax Waterproofing Wax for Leather. Place a small amount of the cream (dime sized) on the gloves and rub in evenly, adding more as needed to ensure even coverage. Pay attention to seams. After ten minutes remove any excess.
-
Allow to air dry. Avoid heaters, dryers and ovens, as excess heat can dry out the leather.
-
Repeat treatment as needed for optimal water resistance.
