Meet Backcountry Access's BCA Tracker S avalanche transceiver. The Tracker S has the performance, ease of use and instantaneous real-time display of the Tracker 3, but with some absent features.  You'll find the price point much cheaper on the Tracker S, but note that it lacks motion-sensing or upgradeable software, which Backcountry Access denotes as "advanced features needed by snow professionals."
